Lets fly to DANAU TOBA , Indonesia .

Lake Toba (IndonesianDanau Toba) is a lake and supervolcano. The lake is 100 kilometres long and 30 kilometres wide, and 505 metres (1,666 ft) at its deepest point. Located in the middle of the northern part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra with a surface elevation of about 900 metres (2,953 ft), the lake stretches from 2.88°N 98.52°E to 2.35°N 99.1°E. It is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world.[1]

The Toba caldera is the only supervolcano in existence that can be described as Yellowstone's "bigger" sister. With 2,800 km3 (670 cu mi) of ejecta, it was an even greater eruption than the super eruption 2,500 km3 (600 cu mi) of 2.1 million years ago that created the Island Park Caldera in Idaho, USA. The eruption was also about three times the size of the latest Yellowstone eruption of Lava Creek 630,000 years ago. For further comparison, the largest volcanic eruption in historic times, in 1815 at Mount Tambora (Indonesia), ejected the equivalent of around 100 km3 (24 cu mi) of dense rock and made 1816 the "Year Without a Summer" in the whole northern hemisphere, while the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens in Washington State ejected around 1.2 km3 (0.29 cu mi) of material. The largest known eruption since the Toba event, the Oruanui eruption in New Zealand around 24,500 BCE, ejected the equivalent of 530 km3 (130 cu mi) of magma.

The subsequent collapse formed a caldera that, after filling with water, created Lake Toba. The island in the center of the lake is formed by a resurgent dome.

As the slogan by Airasia that "everyone can flight " encourage me and my friends decide to went for a visit to Lake toba, Medan Indonesia . the flight from LCCT airport KL take us 1 hour to reach Medan then need to took 5 hour car trip up to the mountain. The temperature there is around 18- 20 degree... is cozy and nice weather .we took a boat ride to our hotel is just in the middle on the lake .
It took us 25 minit ride to our hotel call Samosir Villa Resort http://www.samosirvillaresort.com/ that have recommended by trip advisor. Is a very nice hotel and the stuff is very helpful and friendly.

for a little bit info Lake Toba

  • People

Most of the people who live around Lake Toba are ethnically Bataks. Traditional Batak houses are noted for their distinctive roofs (which curve upwards at each end, as a boat's hull does) and their colorful decor.

[edit]

There is a regular ferry service, every half hour, between Tuk-Tuk on Samosir Island to Parapat. The ferry runs between 7.30am and 7.30pm during peak tourist seasons. During off peak times the last ferry back from Parapat is 6pm. The cost of the ferry is 7000Rp. Buy your ticket on the boat. At the ferry wharf and on the ferry you will be approached by many of the local young men trying to persuade you to go to the hotel they are affiliated with. These guys are mostly harmless and just trying to make a living guiding tourists. They can be a good resource for information. There is no harm in going and checking their hotel out and if you're not happy with that hotel move on to the ones close by. Tuk-tuk is not that large so the hotels are close.

On the island there are waterfalls and hot volcanic springs (Air Panas). In the dry season most of the waterfalls stop flowing.
Three megalithic sites on Samosir bear witness to the glory - and horror - of Batak history. The three consist of 300-year-old stone seats and benches arrayed in a circle. The first set of ruins was used as a conference area for Batak kings. At the second site, the rajas would sit in judgment of a criminal or enemy prisoner. If the accused were found guilty, the assembly would move to the third set, which features the ghastly addition of a central stone execution block.

At Simanindo, 19km from Tuk-Tuk, is the Batak Museum built in the house where Raja Sidauruk lived. Here you can see traditional dancing (Tordon) and puppet performances (Sigalegale). Sigalegale was originally performed at Batak funerals, the puppets being the receptacle for the soul of the deceased.
All over Samosir Island you will see lots of traditional Batak houses as well as the Batak grave sites which are suspended above the ground.

The Batak houses have lots of symbolism built into their design.

First Trip to Phuket ( julai 2011)

Phuket (ภูเก็ต) [1], pronounced (roughly) "pu-ged", is Thailand's largest island. It is 48 km in length, 21 km at its widest, and is inSouthern Thailand, on the west-facing Andaman Sea coastline, suspended from the southern tip of Phang Nga Province by a pair of short but substantial road bridges.

This region is what Phuket is known for the world over. There is a wide variety of beaches, some calm, some totally ruined by millions of visitors each year. Patong is one of the party capitals of Asia.
Slightly off-beat beaches that are worth the trip. Chalong Bay is the largest town that acts as a harbour for outgoing boats to Phang Nga Bay.

Besides Phuket Town, the interior of Phuket is pretty much unheard of by foreign visitors. This fertile hilly expanse consists of mangrove forests, fishing villages, rubber and pineapple plantations, small Muslim communities and shrimp farms. The Phra Taew National Park is a nice escape from the tourist crowds, as is the Gibbon Project.

Famous for its limestone cliffs, caves, mangroves, fishing villages and James Bond Island.

This is my first trip to Phuket took the late afternoon flight arrived very late to Phuket...then take me 45 mint by taxi to get to Holiday Inn Patong .... check in the hotel then my trip is begin..........

Phuket’s busiest resort area, Patong has the greatest of shops, restaurants and nightlife on the island.
As the island’s main resort area, Patong has suffered from some negative publicity in recent years for being over-developed and its vibrant nightlife scene. However, the majority of visitors to Phuket still choose to spend their time in Patong and for good reason. Patong has much to offer for families, couples and solo travellers. The 3km long beach still possesses beautiful white sand and clear water and you can find everything here you could need on your holiday. There are numerous shops and stalls including the largest shopping centre on the island, as well as other leisure and recreational activities. However, if you are looking for a quiet beach retreat, you probably won’t find it in Patong.
for this trip is just a introduction Phuket for me ..... i will be bck for second time because the trip just take 1 full day and 2 nite ..... so is a very short trip ..... only spend a day at  Patong beach ..... and when to see the nightlife of phuket.........

For my journey to Bejing started on middle of May 2011.We are so lucky get to Bejing and enjoy the nice weather .First we arrive Tianjin international airport then travel down to Bejing by fast train .We take a taxi from the train station to the hotel . The problem here is if u want to travel in Bejing better need to know how to speak a little bit of chinese word . Because the taxi drive will be more friendly if u can speak chinese and they are really happy to give u a hand.

Mostly the attraction that we need or we should to go and visit in Beijing such as the Great wall, the Tiananmen square, the Forbidden city, the Summer Palace, Birdnest National Stadium, the Temple of Heaven, the Ming tombs,Bejing Zoo to see the panda and the Hutongs ,and the Wang Fu Jing Food street .

For me , the 5 day 4 night trip is enough for me to see all the attraction. The first place that i visit is the Wang Fu Jing food street . Omg ... that is amazing and a lot of the food that we never have and never seen such as the fried scorpion, insects, BBQ bird ,and more can see in my video .....

My second place that  i visited is the Mutianyu Great Wall .... my trip started 630 am with a tour car that we rent for this trip the driver come and drove us to our destination .we arrive the great wall around 7.15 am and have to wait for a while because the counter ticket not open yet and is no crowd in that time .We so lucky and took a lot of picture before the place start crowed . Me and my friend spend almost 4 hour to walk on the great wall and took picture we both really enjoy the sincnery.before back to the hotel we stopover at the bird nest stadium and the aquatic center.

The next trip is went to the temple of heaven and the summer palace .the trip take almost one day to walked and visit all the place . After that the next day we went to the tiananment square and the Forbidden city .Suggestion for who want to visit this two place is better to go early because the crowd will starting around 9am-12 p.m.After have a walk in the Forbidden city we took a cab over to the Hutong .Hutong in english is mean a small street.

For the food ,in Beijing the no 1 food u need to tried is the peking duck and the strange street food. Other thing i have remind to all the visitor is please take care for ur belonging when u in the train station or the place is crowded in Beijing .

Anyway this is a nice trip and exciting trip for me .... any info about travel to bejing u can visit this link http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing.htm...
